What is Nu-Lift?
Nu-Lift is a procedure whereby a facelift is done without surgery, or down time. There is no incision and no scar. It is innovative and exciting for me as a surgeon to be able to do a facelift without an incision.
How is it done?
PDO Thread lift is the latest and revolutionary treatment for skin tightening and lifting. The PDO (Polydioxanone) material is similar to the sutures used for surgery and is FDA approved for use in the entire body. It utilizes a barbed surgical suture which comes pre-threaded in a special cannula to create a lift of the tissues of the face.

How does it work?
The sutures continuously stimulate the
collagen synthesis also known as
neocollagenesis under the skin thus
producing volumization of the skin. When
inserted into the skin it acts as a scaffolding
for the skin which helps to hold the skin
against the effects of gravity.
The mesh of threads can also shape the face
by lifting and supporting sagging structures.
The sutures are absorbable and therefore will
be absorbed in 4 to 6 months’ time but the
collagen production/stimulation continues to
hold for another 18 to 24 months.

How long does it take to do the procedure and how soon do I see results?
It takes about an hour to do the procedure.
The results are visible immediately and
continue to improve over time.
This procedure can be used on appropriate
candidates who do not want surgery. The
results are excellent.
Side effects are mild and the recovery time is
short. In most cases you can return to work
